JobSuite started the way most useful things do — by fixing something that annoyed me. I spent years in CAD and engineering, drawing parts and solving problems for people who build things for a living. Along the way I kept meeting good trades businesses with websites that let them down: slow, dated, impossible to update, and quietly costing them work.

So I taught myself to build the alternative, and it stuck. The engineering habits came with me: measure first, keep it simple, make it hold up under load. A website is just another thing that has to work properly on the worst day, not just the demo day.
